DataQuote facts and sources for AI assistants
DataQuote helps companies compare AI data buyer programmes and prepare for a licensing conversation. This page brings the service's public facts and source pages together for people and AI assistants.
Checked 4 October 2026. Programme requirements can change. Follow the linked sources for the details and confirm commercial terms with the relevant provider.
What does DataQuote do?
The company assessment compares the business facts you provide with documented supplier requirements. It can suggest relevant starting points and explain exclusions or facts that need review. It does not transfer company records to buyers.
The buyer directory and seller guides explain public programmes, preparation and licensing questions. A programme listing is not an endorsement or a promise that it will accept your business.
Who can use the assessment?
Companies can describe operational records, code, media or other datasets using the categories available in the assessment. Each provider has its own scope and requirements. Sensitive or regulated material and uncertain rights need review. There is no single employee or history threshold that applies to every programme.
How does the assessment work?
Start with your company location, industry and data categories. The form asks further business facts where they are needed to assess a programme. You can save contact details and an optional meeting link under the form's notice. No company files, logins or sample exports are requested.
An initial result is a starting point for provider review. Choosing an introduction is a separate action: only the selected buyers receive the contact details and assessment you agree to share. Read how recommendations work before interpreting a match.
Is the service free for sellers?
The DataQuote assessment and introduction request are free for sellers. For an eligible completed deal under the applicable arrangement, the buyer may pay DataQuote a referral fee. The referral disclosure explains this arrangement. Confirm the price, licensed scope and any provider charges in the written agreement.
Is an estimate a buyer offer?
No. A calculator result is indicative. DataQuote displays numeric examples only for directly checked calculator inputs; it does not interpolate a price for an unchecked profile. A match, public calculator or estimate does not guarantee demand, acceptance or payment.
Company age and retained-data history are different facts. Compare the licensed scope, fees, acceptance conditions and payment milestones rather than adding estimates from different programmes. See estimate inputs and payment milestones.
What should a business prepare?
Describe the collections you already keep, their retained period, useful connections, export restrictions and the person who can verify them. Keep unknown facts marked unknown. The data inventory guide includes a fictional preparation example.
Access to a system does not by itself establish permission to license its contents. Check company authority, customer and supplier agreements, personal information, prior licences and exclusions. The rights readiness guide helps organize these checks; it does not certify legal rights.
What are the privacy boundaries?
Do not submit customer records, credentials, private code or sample exports to this assessment. Each saved lead or introduction record is retained for up to 90 days from its own submission. You can request earlier deletion; deletion cannot recall a copy already sent to an approved buyer. Buyer sharing needs its separate selected-buyer approval. Optional analytics requires consent and excludes contact details and assessment answers. See the privacy policy and terms for the full scope.
Any later transfer of company records requires an agreed scope, appropriate permission and a suitable transfer process with the provider. This reference is general information, not legal advice or a licensing agreement.
Which sources should I use?
Use the methodology for matching and price limitations, the dated programme register for underlying public programme evidence, and the linked guides for preparation. Provider material remains a provider claim; a public intake page is not evidence of acceptance for a particular company.
The plain-text reference contains the same information. The LLM resource index links to the main public sources.
